Dear nirolk: There are different types of love. There is the spontaneous attraction. There is the feeling of love. There is the commitment of love. All are important. Love can be expressed in different ways. It is important to discover how others perceive love. What one person regards as love may not be what someone else thinks is love at all. Some people think that gifts are important. Some thinks that acts of service are important. Others think that time spent with another is important. And some think that physical affection is most important. Does your co-worker know what fills your love bank? If so, is she may be trying to fill it. I don't know what her intentions are, but it sounds like she needs to be stopped. Sometimes it is ok to tell someone off. Love is an investment. Love her and she will love you (in most cases). It may be necessary to limit your love toward her and confront her with how you really feel. You may want to mention that you feel unconfortable with the affection that she is giving you. Focus on developing strong, meaningful, and helpful relationships. All relationships require time and hard work. You will have to invest a lot of time, love, sacrifice, endurance, and work if you expect the relationship to be mature and suitable for an office environment. Rely on God, and it will come to pass in His timing. I suguest several things: I would suggest that you focus on improving yourself and develop an even better relationship with God. Seek God and as your relationship grows, God's will for your life will surely become clear. I believe that as you grow, you will know more. Your relationship with God is more important than any relationship with another person. There are many 'grey' areas in life that don't always have a clear answer. When this happens to me, I seek God and ask him for advice. If I do not get a clear answer, then I often go with my heart - knowing that God is with me. I often pray to God and tell Him that I am willing to do anything He wants me to do and to please give me guidance in a particular situation. Encouragement: Know this: You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. God will take care of you. God loves you and wants to help you with all aspects in your life. For this to actually happen in your life, you should first seek God with your whole heart. Ask Him for help. Pray continually. Ask friends and family for help. Read the Bible. I would also recommend several things - this first item is the most important: 1) Pray and ask God to help you. Seek God first in your life and watch Him resolve issues. I believe that God will direct you. Pray with an attitude and spirit of expectance. Do not limit or try to figure out how (the method) that your prayers will be answered. Turn your concerns and worry over to Him. Ask Him for help and continually pray. 2) Make new friends. Ask them that you respect for advice. 3) It is important that you seek God and not digress. 4) I believe that God will honor you in your decisions and you will grow from it. Again, I do not know the specifics of your situation, so I recommend that you seek God with your whole heart for guidance in this situation. Thank you, -Art
